We help musicians build lasting self-confidence through developing a mindset of consistent practice, thorough preparation, and focusing only on what you can control. You will learn to develop "proactive confidence" by reviewing your musical strengths, utilizing positive self-talk, and mental rehearsal before taking the stage. You will build your "stable confidence" so you can quickly let go of mistakes, manage expectations, and ignore the judgments of others, ensuring your composure remains unshaken during any performance.

Achieving Focus

We teach musicians how to achieve optimal concentration by staying in the present moment and focusing on the process of their performance rather than dwelling on past missed notes or worrying about the audience's reaction. We work through a structured approach, starting by defining your unique performance cues—the specific thoughts, images, or feelings that help you execute your music—and uncovering your top internal and external distractions. You will learn to immerse your mind entirely in these performance cues, ensuring your attention is directed exactly where it needs to be to play at your best.

Letting Go of Perfectionism

We help musicians overcome the paralyzing effects of perfectionism by uncovering and challenging the harsh, self-critical beliefs that demand flawless execution. Together, we will work on shifting you out of an analytical "practice mindset" when you step on stage, allowing you to stop over-coaching yourself and start trusting your hard-earned musical skills. You will learn to give yourself permission to make mistakes and let them go quickly without judgment, which frees you to play intuitively and enter a state of flow.
